1 Do I have to register to be able to shop with you?
Yes. It is currently not possible to order from our online store without registering.
2 When is shipping free of charge?
From an order value of 30 euros, shipping within Germany is free of charge. From an order value of 75 euros, we deliver free of charge throughout the EU, to the UK, Switzerland and Norway. However, this does not apply to express orders.
3 What are your delivery times?
We ship with DHL Go Green and a standard delivery takes one to three working days. Orders are often delivered the very next day. With an express order, you are sure to receive your goods the next working day if you order before 2 pm (Mon.-Fri.).
4 How can I receive my goods as quickly as possible?
Only with an express order will you receive the goods on the next working day if you order by 2 pm (Mon.-Fri.). With a normal delivery it takes a little longer, about one to three working days. We always strive for lightning-fast shipping. You can also collect the goods yourself from our roastery and store in Ackerstraße, so you may even receive the goods on the same day.
5 How does on-site collection work?
If you select “Pickup on site”, pickup is possible from 2 p.m. after a confirmation from our side by e-mail. Important: Orders are not processed on Saturdays and Sundays, only on weekdays.
6 Can I also shop spontaneously at your store?
Yes, of course. You can find out more under “Cafés & Store.”
7 How can I pay?
You can pay conveniently online with Paypal, by credit card or instant bank transfer.
8 I can't log in to my account, what happens?

We ask for your patience, small errors are usually fixed quickly. If you have forgotten your login, you can reset it using your e-mail address. If you have entered your password or e-mail address incorrectly too often, your account will be temporarily blocked for security reasons. 9 My shipment is incomplete, incorrect or damaged - what can I do?
Please send us an e-mail to info@roeststaette.com with a photo. We will take a close look and respond as quickly as possible.
10 I would like to return my order. Is that possible?
Yes, you can cancel your order within 14 days of the delivery date. Ground coffee is an exception.
1 Do you offer both whole beans and pre-ground beans?
Yes, we can also supply your coffee pre-ground for portafilter and stovetop pot (espresso) or hand filter, filter coffee machine, French press or Aeropress (filter coffee) on request. You can easily select this on the respective product page.
2 What is the difference between a filter coffee roast and an espresso roast?
The espresso has a slightly longer development time during roasting and also a higher final temperature. However, it is still not a dark roast, but something like a medium roast. Our filter coffee is a light roast. This allows us to present the best aroma for the filter coffee, but also the best for the espresso.
3 Roasting: Do you also offer omniroasts?
Our coffees are roasted for either espresso or filter coffee. We do not offer omniroasts.
4 Do you also offer dark roasts?
No, we don't roast dark, never until the second crack. We only roast the first crack. For espresso, the basic rule is: our “Capital” and “Sinfonia” blends are slightly darker than the other roasts, like a more commercial line - but not dark roasts. All our filter and espresso roasts have a rather light profile and are fully developed!
5 Which of your coffees score more than 85/100 points?
Our rarities all score over 87 points. All our other seasonals are rated between 86 and 87 points. Please note that our sourcing team or the team of our green coffee partners very rarely and selectively score coffees above 90 points. Some of our coffees would easily score over 90 points in other quality control sessions.
6 Do you also offer blends in your range?
Yes, Sinfonia, Novum and Capital are our house blends, which we have had in our range since the very beginning. Then there are our somewhat newer blends Tango and Milk Coffee.
7 How fresh is your coffee and where do you roast it?
Coffee is a fresh product. Freshness is what makes it special, which is why we roast it every week in our roastery in Ackerstraße in Berlin Mitte - or even several times a week. Depending on the variety, our coffee is freshly roasted and shipped perfectly for the Peak of Flavor.
8 Where can I find brewing recipes for my coffee?
For each of our coffees, our head baristas create an individual recipe with love and dedication in the form of a brew guide. You can find it on the product page of the respective coffee. To access it, you can also simply scan the QR code on the coffee card inside the packaging of your coffee with your smartphone. You can also find more general brewing guides for the various brewers on our blog.
9 I found a coffee online, but I can't order it.
As we regularly receive new farm coffees and micro-lots from all over the world, our range changes regularly. This usually means that the coffee is no longer in stock and can therefore no longer be delivered. If you believe that a product is incorrectly marked as out of stock, please let us know.
10 What is specialty coffee?
We only roast Arabica coffees that are classified as specialty coffees. Specialty coffee - that's the top five percent of coffee worldwide. From cultivation to roasting to the final cup, the value chain for specialty coffees is very short and every single step is subject to the highest quality standards. The term “specialty coffee” is now protected by the SCA. It refers to high-quality green coffee beans that are inspected for defects by Q-graders and rigorously tested in so-called cuppings.
11 Is it possible to obtain comprehensive advice on site?
For an on-site consultation, please make an appointment with us. You can write us a short e-mail or give us a call. We will advise you on all aspects of our coffees, training courses and products - and on request also on grinders and espresso machines.
12 Do you also sell Robusta beans?
No. All our espresso roasts and filter coffees are 100% Arabica coffees and are gently and freshly roasted by hand in Berlin.
1 I have a voucher and there are no courses online. When are new Barista courses online?
Please be patient, new course dates will be published regularly. We always try to offer at least two of all courses (Barista Basic, Barista Compact and Latte Art) per month. However, this also depends on our trainers, who either work at our coffee bar or travel around the world as coffee professionals.
2 How long do the courses last?
A Barista Basic course and the Latte Art course last 2-2.5 hours. The Barista Compact course, on the other hand, lasts around 4 hours – including a short break to catch your breath.
3 I would like to give away a course. How does that work?
You can book a course as a gift on our Academy landing page. You will receive a ticket by post, which you can also send directly from us to the desired person. If you wish, you can receive a digital ticket as a gift.
4 I have a code that does not work online. What can I do?
Your code has expired, is too old or has not yet been created. Please send us an e-mail and we will take a look at it.
5 I have used my voucher code, but I am asked to pay the remaining amount. What does this mean?
This means that a price increase has taken place after the purchase of your voucher. As a general rule, the voucher is valid for one year from the date of purchase and we reserve the right to increase prices. When redeeming the voucher, in the event of a price increase in the advertised service of the voucher, the difference between the value of the voucher and the value according to the current price list on our website must be compensated.
1 How can I redeem my voucher code?
It's simple: in the checkout with your order. If you have purchased a voucher or a ticket for a Barista course from us, your code is the six-digit invoice number.
2 Why can't I buy coffee, barista courses and accessories all with one voucher?
Due to the difference in taxation, a voucher can be purchased either for coffee products (7% VAT) or for coffee accessories and courses (19% VAT). Vouchers can only be redeemed online and not in our store.
3 The vouchers can only be used once. Why?
For technical reasons, the voucher can only be used once and will not be refunded if it is not redeemed after the expiry date. The voucher cannot be paid out.
4 I have accidentally not redeemed the full balance of my voucher. What can I do?
In this case, please send us a short e-mail. Our team will then activate the remaining credit for you.
5 Can I also redeem my online voucher in your stores?
No. However, there are also store vouchers (more on this under Cafés & Store).
1 Can I also shop spontaneously at your store?

1 For which brands do you offer a repair service?
We offer a basic repair service for all machines purchased from us (ECM, Victoria Arduino, Nuova Simonelli). We also repair Mahlkönig grinders, but only B2B machines and not the smaller grinders for home users.
2 What does a repair cost?
We charge you 65 euros net per working hour. We also charge for spare parts. Therefore, the exact costs can only be calculated after a diagnosis.
3 How does the repair work?
You can bring the machines to us from Monday to Friday between 10 am and 6 pm. We kindly ask you to call us in advance. This way we can guarantee a smooth process and you can avoid long waiting times.
4 How long does a repair take?
That depends entirely on our workload. But a repair usually takes between three and seven working days.
5 Do you have your own workshop?
Yes, we have a large workshop in our basement where we are constantly repairing machines.
6 What is the difference between repair and maintenance?
During maintenance, only the most important components are checked and small components are replaced (seals, brewing sieve). A repair is more extensive work on your machine and includes, for example, the replacement of defective parts.
7 How often should my machine be maintained?
For home users, we recommend maintenance at least once a year. For commercial customers a little more frequently, around three to four times a year.
8 Can you also repair my machine on site?
We only offer this for commercial customers, but not for home users.
9 Do you offer a drop-off and pick-up service?
Yes, we charge 37 euros for the journey and 25 euros for the delivery service.
1 How do your subscriptions work?
We offer espresso and filter coffee subscriptions for three and six months respectively. Simply order online and you can choose your own roast and delivery quantity. The highlight is our Espresso Selection and the Roasters Choice (filter coffee) subscription, where you can drink your way through the best coffees in our range.
2 Why is it worth subscribing?
A subscription is worthwhile because you save a large part of the shipping costs. And you get your coffee regularly without having to order again. Your subscription ends automatically when it expires.
3 Can I also give a subscription as a gift?
Yes, all you have to do is enter the recipient's desired delivery address. And of course your billing address. We will then deliver the subscription to the desired address without the recipient finding out about the costs.
