You can expect a coffee that is sure to bring back old memories. We are delighted to be sourcing this wonderful coffee from Finca La Riviera for the first time. Intense sweetness of blueberry, marshmallow full of character and ripe watermelon - plus a playful sweetness of bubble gum: a multi-layered firework of flavours awaits you on the palate in this filter coffee. The coffee comes from Julio Cesar Madrid (photo) and his Finca La Riviera in Colombia. Bourbon Tekisic is a variety grown in El Salvador that is known for its excellent quality in the cup – especially at the highest altitudes. Chew Chew, get ready for a filter coffee to melt in your mouth!

This exceptional coffee comes from the renowned Finca El Paraiso in the Colombian region of Cauca. This special nano-lot, created by the award-winning fermentation experts Alex & Diego Bermudez as Double Anaerobic, impresses with an intense and multi-layered flavour profile. Look forward to vibrant notes of lychee, gooseberry and juicy peach, accompanied by a smooth texture. A hint of caramel rounds off the flavour experience in the filter coffee with a smooth, sweet finish.

Christmas as inspiration

With our winter series, we want to show you new flavours in coffee and ignite a little Christmas spark at the same time. We’ll help you with the preparation – so that it works just like our baristas in our cafés in Berlin. That’s why our Head Barista Valeria Kutuzova has created a brew guide for our winter coffee.

‘In particular, we want people to enjoy our winter coffees, learn more about their preparation and spend a cosy time with them. A moment of pure joy with a home-made espresso, cappuccino or flat white by candlelight, for example,’ says Valeria, describing the idea behind the Flavours of Winter coffee.

Sustainable cultivation and quality awareness
As with wine, the origin, cultivation and careful harvesting of coffee form the basis for a speciality coffee. We only use ripe and hand-picked 100% Arabica coffee beans for our coffees, as the painstaking manual harvest is an essential quality criterion. Our highland coffees are natural products and are grown in shady forest gardens in an environmentally friendly way. This preserves the biodiversity of the growing region. The coffee cherries can ripen slowly at cool altitudes with nourishing and fertile soil conditions. Under these optimal climatic conditions near the equator, the coffee plants have more time to develop their characteristic and fruity flavours.  
Freshly roasted by hand
All Röststätte coffees are gently roasted by hand in Berlin so that the natural flavours can fully develop without any unwanted acidity. For a distinctive body and a versatile flavour profile in the cup, we want to emphasise and optimally process the special features of the respective variety, farm and origin of the coffee with our roasting. The aim is therefore to exploit the full potential of the green coffee through our roasting method in order to emphasise the valuable work of the producers in the countries where the coffee is grown. These are our quality principles – from source to the final cup.
